FOCUS: Art Studio is an Anchorage based program of FOCUS that offers structured art classes and open studio time for adults who experience disabilities (ages 18+).
FOCUS: Art Studio provides a supportive environment where artists can explore and connect in a small group setting working side by side with other artists and peers. Artists are exposed to a variety of traditional and experimental techniques in visual art mediums such as: drawing, painting, photography, printmaking, collage, jewelry, and fiber arts. As well as, other means of artistic expression through performing arts. Artists explore their creativity in the projects presented or artwork based on their own interests or inspirations. FOCUS: Art Studio artists have the opportunity to display, show, and sell their artwork. They also have a chance to participate in community First Friday shows.
