My name is Cristine Aki and I have lived in Alaska since 1998 (I think I now have the privilege of saying that makes me a “Sourdough”). Before coming to Alaska, I lived in Texas where I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders at Hardin-Simmons University. I received my Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from East Carolina University. I worked for the Anchorage School District before coming to FOCUS full-time in 2014. I have enjoyed working in the Infant Learning Program with JBER and Eagle River families and their children ever since. I enjoy living in Alaska, spending time with my family, traveling (mainly to CA and HI lately), camping, crocheting, and crafting. One of my favorite scriptures is:
- The law of the LORD is perfect, refreshing the soul
- The statues of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple
- The precepts of the LORD are right, giving joy to the heart
- The commands of the LORD are radiant, giving light to the eyes.
