Courtney Erickson, Assistant Clinic Director
Hi! I’m Courtney Erickson, Assistant Clinic Director at FOCUS. My husband and I moved to Alaska in May of 2019 due to the military and have loved every second of it. We came from North Carolina where I was previously a certified nursing assistant working with patients needing rehabilitation. We specialized in adults recovering from major surgeries, traumas, and strokes and aided them in their daily therapies. I considered myself knowledgeable in all that physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy have to offer until I was introduced to FOCUS and learned even more than I already knew, especially in relation to children with disabilities and special needs. I started out as the Administrative Assistant and grew to love everyone at FOCUS, staff, and clients included and feel so fortunate to have been given the opportunity to make a difference as Assistant Clinic Director. My husband and I have three dogs, Sophie, Levi, and Juneau, who love exploring Alaska as much as we do. Some of our favorite things to do are fishing, hiking, kayaking, and sight-seeing. We dread the day we have to leave this beautiful state, which we now consider our home, and look forward to visiting as many places as we can in the few years we have left. I look forward to working with you and your family!
