Andrea Toth is a nationally certified speech pathologist having received her bachelor’s and master’s degree at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California. She grew up in Alaska, however, and graduated from Service High School. She was hired at Providence Hospital when she completed her program of study and worked in adult outpatient and home health care for 7 years.
She then became a stay-at-home mom for 8 years, which really was additional education for her future working with kids! She returned to work in 2009 and was hired by the Anchorage School District. She was placed at Tyson Elementary from 2009-2014 and also at Winterberry during the 2013-14 school year. She worked with kids from preschool age through 8th grade who experienced communication disorders related to difficulties with articulation, phonology, apraxia, language delay, Down’s Syndrome, Autism, and many other needs. Andrea made the transition to FOCUS, Inc. in June 2014 and is greatly enjoying being a part of the newly expanded clinic.
