Cristine Aki

ILP/Speech Language Pathologist

My name is Cristine Aki and I have lived in Alaska since 1998 (I think I now have the privilege of saying that makes me a “Sourdough”). Before coming to Alaska, I lived in Texas where I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders at Hardin-Simmons University.I received my Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from East Carolina University.I worked for the Anchorage School District before coming to FOCUS full-time in 2014.I have enjoyed working in the Infant Learning Program with JBER and Eagle River families and their children ever since.I enjoy living in Alaska, spending time with my family, traveling (mainly to CA and HI lately), camping, crocheting, and crafting. One of my favorite scriptures is:

  • The law of the LORD is perfect, refreshing the soul
  • The statues of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple
  • The precepts of the LORD are right, giving joy to the heart
  • The commands of the LORD are radiant, giving light to the eyes.
